NL Social Enterprise and Innovation Coalition

The NL Social Enterprise and Innovation Coalition was established with the mission to build community prosperity by empowering thriving social purpose organizations (SPOs).

Led initially by MUN’s Centre for Social Enterprise, the Coalition successfully achieved key objectives in its early years. These included amplifying the province's voice during the various stages of the Social Finance Fund, engaging both community and government to advance social procurement within the province, and more.

As the current administrative host of the Coalition, the Community Sector Council of NL, through the Social Innovation Lab, would like to acknowledge and celebrate the Coalition’s accomplishments, reiterate our commitment, and engage with community organizations across the province to continue this vital initiative.

We extend our gratitude to the founding members for their crucial role in kick-starting this project. Your expertise and willingness to collaborate have been instrumental in opening new pathways for our sector during the Coalition’s first phase.

Meet the Founding Members

After receiving your feedback from recent gatherings, we would like to reignite the Coalition with a focus on the Advisory Group:

Coalition’s Advisory Group

This iteration of the Coalition will be open to additional members to ensure provincial representation. The goal of this group is to identify strategic opportunities, engage with the government, and build awareness and capacity within the sector.

As we reignite the coalition, we would appreciate hearing your feedback to co-define the next phase of the Coalition.
